Please note that all sizes measure approximately 1/4 to 1/2 inch smaller than the stated size in order to conform to industry standards. Recommended Filter Change Interval:
We recommend that the Precision Pleated Air Filters be changed every 30 to 60 days as needed. Change frequency requirements really depend on the environment in your home and the size of your ventilation system. Do you live in a high-rise condo or on a farm at the end of a plowed field? Do you have pets and children running in and out? Do you keep your windows open when it is nice outside? Are your carpet and drapes old and dusty? How often do you run your ventilation system? Your filter is being used only when your system fan is running.

You may see similar brands listing 90 days as the change interval. We think that going longer than 60 days is stretching the change interval beyond what is reasonable for most consumers. A lot of HVAC people have told us "no matter what kind of filter you use it should be changed every 30 days". Our Precision Pleated Air Filters are equal or better quality than our competitors but if you need a "TRION AIR BEAR REPLACEMENT FILTER" or 3M brand filter, Spacegard, Aprilair filter, etc.. Are filters are disposable and affordable they\'re manufactured with precision quality and are of a commercial grade, they do not fully restrict the air flow like a flat fiber filter will when dirty. Dirty filters cause energy loss by restricting airflow, and that can damage your furnace. Restricting airflow while in the heat cycle can damage the heat exchanger "fire box". Old fashion quality is incorporated in every filter by using a high-wet-strength double-sided die-cut frame, which helps the Precision Pleated Air Filters remain rigid even under rigorous conditions.
